Hey, everyone
Last March I shared a post about Cubbie Fink and Rebecca St. James publishing a book with David C. Cook, but now the book is officially titled "Lasting Ever". You can preorder a hardcover copy from an online Christian book seller before it hits shelves on February 4th, 2025, or you can just enter a giveaway to win one instead.
You can read about Fink and James navigating through difficult areas of life as followers of Christ. It's priced at a cool sixteen bucks if you're so willing to drop a hard earned coin, but if you are, Cubbie and Rebecca want you to know it's well worth it.
“Married musicians Rebecca St. James and Cubbie Fink illuminate the heartaches and triumphs of life together as Jesus followers. They'll inspire you to see how God works despite our insecurities---and embrace life with a heart attuned to God's grace. Full of honest, often humorous, conversations about singlehood, marriage, the purity movement, and life in the spotlight. 224 pages, hardcover from Cook.”
As you may already know, but I'll remind you anyway, Cubbie makes up one-third of the original lineup just as Zach Heiligman departed the band before the Torches era even began. The boys released “Pumped Up Kicks” in 2010 and they were blessed with an instant viral classic Mark Foster uploaded onto their old website when he still lived in Los Angeles as a commercial jingle writer. Mark Pontius played alongside Cubbie and Foster until his departure in 2021. Cubbie left the band after the “Supermodel” era in 2015 and he was replaced by touring musicians Isom Innis and Sean Cimino soon after.
