Foster The People just dropped a behind the scenes clip for their latest video “Lost In Space”. On May 31 of this year, the band released a new single and news concerning their next effort “Paradise State Of Mind” out August 16, 2024. Since I'm so excited to witness a new FTP era for the first time since “Torches” in 2011, I finally pre-ordered a blue sparkle vinyl and signed the CD this morning. Now all I have to do is wait for the boys to announce tour dates to decide if I'm going to my first FTP show. This is all very exciting!
The behind the scenes footage of the latest video features Mark Foster busting a move with the dancers, but mostly I enjoyed the frontman gushing about how he's never made a video like this before. That right there just makes the whole era for me: the band experimenting with new ideas and styles alongside fans who have never heard of Foster The People before. For older fans like us, it's fun to see the boys in a whole new light. I've got to scratch that off my rock band bucket list.
“Paradise State Of Mind” is the fourth full-length album by Foster The People after 2017's “Sacred Hearts Club”. The record features eleven tracks and “Lost In Space” is actually second on the tracklist. It rightfully deserves to chart well! Speaking of charting well, the track has already amassed over two million streams on Spotify not long after its release. This is already so amazing!
I don't use any streaming service as I'd rather buy physical media, but I'm glad to help my favorite band any way I can, and so should you!
Have a good one!
