Hey, everyone
In late August I told you about Ebay selling the Japanese edition of Foster The People's latest album “Paradise State Of Mind” containing an extra song, well now thanks to Reddit and the magic of YouTube, it is now available to listen to as many times as you'd like. The track, “Rabies Shmabies” is a groovy 80s treat perfect for a Friday morning and the rest of the weekend as you lounge by the pool one last time before fall sets in.
The new track would've been a killer track on an already amazing album and an excellent replacement for “Sometimes I Want To Be Bad”, but alas, it's only available in the Japanese market. The track just confirms why Foster The People are my favorite band of every other band in the industry. I feel it's straight out of 2020's EP “In The Darkest Of Nights, Let The Birds Sing” similar to “Things We Do”, but with more buzzy electronics. Bands include an extra track on their albums since music is unfortunately more expensive in Japan than the rest of the world, especially in America.
I can't say I blame FTP for sidelining this track to a Japanese bonus song with that title, though it's a fantastic track.
Foster The People are set to hit South America next year for Lollapalooza and Estereo Picnic. If you live there or are traveling, don't miss it!
